This wine is a deep crimson red and is a big, but supple pinot. Is has a deep complex nose with nuances of cigar box, cinnamon, sour cherries and spice. The wines seamless length and tight structure holds this wine well above most pinots.

The predominant clone in this pinot noir is MV6, which makes it deeply coloured and full of flavour. During ferment we had included some whole bunches which gives the wine texture and length with a slight sappy structure. It has a classic pinot nose of cherries, raspberries, brambles and wild flowers with our distinctive tight structure.

The red is a blend of fiver varieties to produce a Rhone styled wine that is spicy, rich, vibrant and rustic. We make this wine so everyone can afford a stylish wine. It is deep red and intense with mulberry, white pepper, star anise aromas and a spicy palate held together by leathery tannins.

She is a black inky bastard without the trickery of new oak. I know there are a lot of weedy merlots out there and this has given the variety a bad reputation. However, this is a truly noble variety and when done right merlot should be big and masculine, and still remain soft and delicate. Our Merlot fits this mould, with intense blood plum flavours and nuisances of cinnamon, cardamom and aniseed. The palate is huge with persisting spicy tannins. It is a beast!
